CompanionRateris an independent review site for AI companion apps — AI girlfriends, AI boyfriends, and chat companions. The category is noisy, fast-moving, and full of “best of” lists that are really just paid placements. We started this site to do the opposite: test the apps for real, say what we honestly think, and take the questions other sites avoid — privacy, data safety, real cost, and how hard it is to cancel — seriously.

What we stand for

• Independence. No app can buy a better score or a higher ranking, and we verify pricing and features ourselves on the live sites.
• Honesty about privacy. Companion apps handle deeply personal data and several have been breached. We tell you what we know and how to protect yourself.
• Real-world value. We track what apps actually cost over a month of use, including credit and token traps.
• For adults. This site is for people 18 and older.
