What we can't offer you

Worth being blunt, because most outreach we get assumes otherwise:

• You can't pay us. Not for a listing, not for a rating, not for a ranking position, not to be reviewed sooner. There is nothing to buy here.
• You can't buy a score. We pay for apps and test them ourselves, and we verify pricing at your live checkout rather than taking it from your marketing page.
• We won't promise coverage. We review what we think readers are genuinely choosing between.
• An affiliate programme doesn't help you. Having one neither improves nor harms your chances. Some of our lowest-scored apps pay us; some of our highest-scored pay us nothing, and we say so on the page.

What we'll actually check

So there are no surprises. This is the same process behind every review on the site — the full version is in our methodology.

• The real price.Read at your live checkout, not from your homepage — including what the annual plan actually charges on day one, what renews at a higher rate, and what's metered in credits on top.
• Who bills the customer. The operating entity and the descriptor that appears on a bank statement. Apps that name both do noticeably better here than apps that hide them.
• Privacy posture. Whether chats train your models, breach history, encryption, and whether account deletion works.
• The product. Conversation, memory over days, image and voice quality, and how usable the free tier is before paying.

If we get a fact wrong — pricing, entity, descriptor, a feature — write to us and we'll check it and correct it. We've corrected our own published figures before.

If we've reviewed you: the badge

Apps we've independently reviewed are welcome to display this. It's entirely voluntary, it isn't a condition of anything, and removing it changes nothing about your review.

The snippet below carries rel="nofollow" deliberately. A badge traded for a followed link is a link scheme, and we're not going to hand you a Google problem in exchange for a logo placement. Please keep it as-is.

Frequently asked

Does it cost anything to be reviewed?

No. We don't accept payment for coverage, for a listing, for a rating, or for a position in a ranking — and we never will. There is no fee, no expedited option, and nothing to buy. If anyone tells you otherwise, they don't work for us.

Do I have to link back to you?

No. The badge is optional and has no bearing on whether we review you, what we score you, or where you place. Requiring a link in exchange for a listing is the exact link scheme Google's spam policy names, so we don't do it — and the badge snippet ships with rel="nofollow" already in it.

Will you definitely review my app?

No. We review what we think readers are actually choosing between, and we pay for and test apps ourselves. Submitting puts you in front of us; it doesn't buy a slot. Plenty of submissions won't be a fit.

Can I get a bad review changed?

You can correct a factual error, and we want you to — if we've misstated your pricing, your operating entity, your billing descriptor or a feature, tell us and we'll check it and fix it. What you can't do is change a rating, a ranking, or an opinion.

Do you have an affiliate relationship with the apps you review?

With some, and we say so on every page. Our reviews mark which links pay us and which don't — including the ones where we earn nothing — and having a programme neither helps nor hurts your chances of coverage. Our lowest-rated apps include ones we're paid by, and our rankings include apps that pay us nothing.
