Is there a Candy AI app?
Not on the App Store or Google Play — but there is one you can install, and Candy built it that way on purpose. Which makes the apps currently ranking for its name worth a closer look, because at least two of them are somebody else’s.
What the company actually says
Candy answers this directly in its help centre, in an article called “Does Candy.ai have an app for iPhone or Android?”:
Candy.ai does notoffer a native mobile app for iOS or Android. Instead, the platform is fully accessible via your mobile web browser. However, we’ve implemented a Progressive Web App (PWA) — which means you can install Candy.ai on your phone and enjoy an app-like experience without visiting the App Store or Play Store.
So “there is no Candy AI app” is the wrong summary, even though it’s the one you’ll read everywhere. There is no store app. There is an installable one, it goes on your home screen like any other, and the company lists its reasons: a cleaner interface without the browser address bar, and push notifications. How to install it
- Open candy.ai in your mobile browser — Safari or Chrome.
- Tap Share on iOS, or the three-dot menu on Android.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
Those are Candy’s own instructions, not a workaround. You end up with the full product rather than a cut-down mobile build — and nothing named Candy in your app library or your store purchase history, which for a lot of people in this category is the point. So what are the apps with its name on them?
We looked at what Google returns for “candy ai app” on 17 August 2026. It is not a reassuring list.

We haven’t tested any of them and won’t tell you what they are. What we can tell you is what they aren’t: published by the company that runs candy.ai, which says it publishes no store app at all. This isn’t unique to Candy — our FantasyGF review documents the same pattern, a Play listing for the brand name published by an unrelated developer. It’s common enough here to be worth a habit: check the publisher, not the title.
About “mod APKs”
A mod APK unlocks a paid app by altering the app itself. There is no store app here to alter, and the product runs on Candy’s servers behind your account — nothing you install on your phone changes what that account is entitled to. A “Candy AI mod APK” therefore cannot do the thing it advertises, and sideloading one is the standard route to malware. If the point is not paying, the free tier is the real answer, and it costs nothing but an email address.
The short version
