- Renewal
- Auto-renews at the same rate. Fees can be changed with 'reasonable prior notice', taking effect at the end of the current period. Cancelling stops the renewal but does not refund the period you're in — you keep access until it expires.
- Credits / tokens
- 'Credits' meter image and video generation on top of the subscription. Ultimate included 5,000/month when we looked, with 2,500 bonus credits in month one on the annual plan.
- Refunds
- Non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise; individual requests are considered case-by-case at the company's sole discretion (Terms 4.6).

- Not confirmed. Web payments are processed by NMI; crypto is also accepted.

- Encryption
- Encrypted in transit (HTTPS) but not end-to-end — the company can read chats server-side. Don't share your real name, face, or financial details. Its policy cites encryption, firewalls and SSL — transport security, not end-to-end. Offers an NSFW toggle; generated images and video are stored server-side.
- Billing discretion
- Web subscriptions run through the NMI payment gateway, in-app ones through Apple. Crypto (BTC/ETH/SOL) is accepted alongside cards. NMI is the processor, not necessarily the descriptor on your statement — we haven't confirmed what actually prints, so check before subscribing.
- Data use
- Chats, generated media and metadata are all collected as 'User Content'. The policy reserves an unrestricted right to use and disclose 'Non-Personal Information' — including aggregated and derived data — to partners and advertisers at its discretion. It does not state whether conversations train its models, either way.
- Account deletion
- Weak. The Terms let you delete your account in-app, but the privacy policy contains NO deletion, retention or data-subject-rights section — its 'Your Rights' section covers marketing opt-out only. There is no stated retention period for chats or generated media, and no GDPR/UK-GDPR rights process despite a UK operating entity. The Terms separately say user content 'may be deleted at any time without prior notice' and that the company has no obligation to back it up.

Where Nectar AI shines is the visual side — customizable, high-res image generation and the Companion Video presence feature. If seeing your companion react matters to you, it's a differentiator. Conversation is solid without leading the pack.
Pricing & value
Nectar hides its prices behind a free sign-up — the public pricing page loads no figures at all until you have an account — so these come from a logged-in look at the upgrade flow on 2026-08-13, not from a completed checkout. What it showed: Ultimate at $12.99/mo, or $59.99 a year (about $4.99/mo, billed annually), with 5,000 credits a month, 64K context and 2,500 bonus credits in the first month if you go yearly. That is cheap for what is included. Two caveats we can't yet resolve: the upgrade screen showed only the Ultimate plan, so we don't know whether the cheaper tiers Nectar previously advertised still exist, and we saw one region's prices, which for a gated paywall is not necessarily everyone's. We had previously published a $34.99 Ultimate tier from desk research; that figure was wrong and has been removed. The free tier caps messages and generations per day, and credits deplete quickly with heavy visual use.
Verdict
Nectar AI is a strong pick if visuals and presence matter most — good images and the Companion Video feature, at a price that turns out to be lower than we previously reported. Two things to know before you sign up: it won't show you a price until you have an account, and its privacy policy is thinner than its product (no retention or deletion section, and a boilerplate clause claiming the right to collect government ID).
